If you believe in this sort of thing, last night's national championship victory by the University of Kentucky men's basketball team was good news for the New York Yankees. How could that possibly be?
Well, prior to the 2012 title, here are Kentucky's last six national titles: 1949, 1951, 1958, 1978, 1996, 1998.
The Yankees won the World Series in each of those six baseball seasons.
Obviously it's a total coincidence, but a cool little factoid nonetheless.
