Angels third baseman Luis Jimenez sat out Saturday's game against the Astros as he continues to work his way back from a thumb injury. He suffered the injury on Sept. 8 and has not played since. He has also experienced soreness in his shoulders.
Jimenez batted .314/.342/.400 in 35 at-bats since rejoining the Angels in late August.
