Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro will be rested more often this season, according to CSN.

Scutaro dealt with both a finger injury and a back issue last season, and spent the offseason getting healthy. Manager Bruce Bochy said Scutaro will likely sit out of the team's early exhibition games. He added that Scutaro will see a few more days off during the regular season as well.

Scutaro hit .297/.357/.369 in 488 at-bats last year.
