Mets pitcher Bobby Parnell saw his first game action in nearly a year Saturday when he pitched in a minor-league intrasquad game and said Sunday that he felt "good soreness" but no ill effects from his Tommy John surgery, ESPNNewYork.com reports.
"I feel really good," Parnell said.
Parnell is expected to pitch in his next game Wednesday, though he's unsure whether it will be another minor-league appearance or his Grapefruit League debut. He is expected to open the season on the disabled list and should miss the first few weeks of the regular season if he remains on schedule.
