Mets pitcher Bobby Parnell struggles in rehab outing Tuesday

Mets pitcher Bobby Parnell was barely able to get through his rehab appearance Tuesday with Class-A Port St. Lucie. He allowed one run on two hits with two walks in 2/3 of an inning against Jupiter. 

In three rehab appearances, Parnell has a 10.13 ERA for Port St. Lucie. Parnell is currently on the 15-day DL while recovering from Tommy John surgery. Manager Terry Collins plans to continue to use Jeurys Familia as the team's closer when Parnell returns.
