Rangers designated hitter Prince Fielder hit a solo home run in the first inning of Friday's loss to Toronto.

The homer was Fielder's 12th of the year and 48th RBI. It was also the 300th home run of his career. Fielder became the 138th MLB player to reach the milestone and the 12th active player in the club.

Fielder's father, Cecil, had 319 career home runs. The Fielders are the second father-son combination to reach 300 homers, joining Bobby and Barry Bonds.

Fielder went 2 for 4 in the game.
