Rays option Allan Dykstra, Mikie Mahtook

The Rays optioned first baseman Allan Dykstra and outfielder Mikie Mahtook after Thursday's 2-1 win over the Red Sox.

The two players are being sent down with pitcher Drew Smyly and first baseman James Loney set to return from the disabled list Friday. Dykstra hit .129/.286/.226 with one home run and four RBI in 31 at-bats while seeing time at first base. Mahtook didn't get into Thursday's game after joining the team earlier in the day. He's 1 for 4 with one home run in four games with the Rays.
