RP Cesar Jimenez designated for assignment by Phillies

The Phillies have announced that they have designated left-hander Cesar Jimenez for assignment just eight days after his promotion.

Jimenez didn't exactly get much of a shot. He pitched just one-third of a shutout inning during his most recent stay.
