Twins outfielder Chris Herrmann was removed from Thursday's game due to precautionary reasons, said general manager Terry Ryan, according to MLB.com. Ryan added that Herrmann did undergo a concussion test and passed, stating that he is fine.
Herrmann suffered a cut above his nose in the first inning due to a foul tip off his mask on the first pitch of the game, reports the Star Tribune.
“Just knowing you’re bleeding, especially from your face, it just kind of freaked me out,” Herrmann said. “Just a freak accident. But everything is fine.”
