Oliveros was released by the Royals on Wednesday, MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan reports.
The journeyman reliever has logged 29.1 MLB innings while spending time with the Tigers, Twins and Royals. He does not hold any fantasy value at the moment, and will look to catch on with a fourth organization on a minor league deal.

Royals' Lester Oliveros: Minor league deal with Kansas City
Oliveros signed a minor league contract with Kansas City, Baseball America reports.
Oliveros had a strong season at Triple-A last year wiht a 11.6 K/9 and a 3.79 ERA, but never got a chance in Minnesota's bullpen. He also reduced his walk rate to 3.28, his lowest rate since 2012. Walks have always been a problem, but Oliveros throws hard enough he could get a shot at the Kansas City bullpen at some point.
