Church was released by the Mets on Thursday, Michael Mayer of Metsmerizedonline.com reports.
A second-round pick by the Mets in 2013, Church never reached the big leagues, topping out at Triple-A in 2016, 2018 and 2019. The 25-year-old righty has a 7.71 ERA and 2.14 WHIP in 16.1 career innings at the highest level of the minors.
