  • White Sox's D.J. Snelten: MiLB contract with CWS

    The White Sox signed Snelten to a minor-league contract Thursday, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports. The agreement comes shortly after Snelten was seen touching 100 mph during a throwing session at B.S.F. Sports Performance. Snelten pitched briefly in the Mexican League in 2024, posting a 4.34 ERA and 27:15 K:BB over 18.2 innings. His only major-league experience came back in 2018 with the Giants.

  • Angels' D.J. Snelten: Reaches deal with Angels

    Snelton signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports. Snelton has the unenviable distinction of being the Angels' first signing in the post-Shohei Ohtani era. The 31-year-old spent all of the 2023 season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the Yankees organization, posting a 7.50 ERA and 48:42 K:BB over 36 innings. He last appeared in the majors in 2018.
