Blue Jays' Luis Frias: Sent back to minors
The Blue Jays optioned Frias to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.
Since coming up from Triple-A on Sept. 6, Frias has allowed eight earned runs on eight hits and three walks in only 3.1 innings. He'll head back to the minors in order to get back on track, and the Jays will bring up Dillon Tate to fill the open spot in their bullpen.

Frias moved his rehab assignment from rookie ball to Triple-A on Tuesday, and he will officially remain with the Aces now that he's made a full recovery from the shoulder inflammation that sent him onto the IL in April. The Diamondbacks transferred Frias' (shoulder) rehab assignment to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.
Frias has been on Arizona's injured list since April 19 with right shoulder inflammation but finally looks to be inching toward a return to the active roster. He began his rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League over the weekend, tossing a scoreless inning in his lone outing. He'll likely make a handful of relief appearances for Reno before rejoining the big-league bullpen.

Frias (shoulder) will begin a throwing program this week, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Frias has been on the shelf for nearly two weeks with right shoulder inflammation but appears to be progressing. He had been optioned before that was rescinded and he was placed on the injured list, so the righty could be headed to Triple-A Reno rather than the majors once he's healthy.
