  • Nationals' Yadiel Hernandez: Done for season

    Hernandez (calf) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports. The transaction officially ends Hernandez's season, as he only landed on the 10-day injured list nine days ago, so the schedule will end before his 60 days are up. The 34-year-old will end the year with a .269/.312/.410 slash line (good for a 100 wRC+) in 94 games.

  • Nationals' Yadiel Hernandez: Lands on injured list

    Hernandez was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left calf strain, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports. Josh Palacios was recalled to replace Hernandez on the active roster. It's not entirely clear when this issue cropped up, though Hernandez had been out for three of four games prior to this move, so it may have been lingering. Hernandez will be eligible to return Aug. 30 should he prove ready.
