Marlins' Wilfredo Lara: Traded to Miami
The Mets traded Lara to the Marlins on Tuesday in exchange for Huascar Brazoban, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
Lara has spent the entire season with the Mets' High-A affiliate, slashing .244/.349/.343 with 29 RBI and 13 stolen bases through his first 78 games of affiliated ball. He'll presumably report to High-A Beloit upon joining his new organization.

Mets' Wilfredo Lara: Returns from fractured hand
Lara (hand) has gone 0-for-6 with two walks in two games for High-A Brooklyn since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Sunday.
Lara missed just under two weeks of Brooklyn's season due to a hamate bone fracture before making his 2024 debut. The outfielder is making his debut in affiliated ball this season after signing with the Mets as a 17-year-old out of the Dominican Republic in June 2021.

Mets' Wilfredo Lara: Recovering from hamate fracture
Lara suffered a hamate fracture in early spring and will move to High-A Brooklyn when healthy, Sam Dykstra of MLB.com reports.
It sounds like Lara will be able to get back into game action sometime in the first couple months of the season. The 19-year-old saw time all over the infield and outfield while slashing .264/.362/.452 with 14 home runs and 17 steals in 99 games for Single-A St. Lucie last season.
