Brewers' Trey Supak: Optioned to minor league camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak was optioned to minor league camp Monday.

Supak appeared in three spring games this season after pitching in just one a year ago, but that was mainly to get him some seasoning, as he was always a long shot at best to break camp with the big club. Supak's season figures to begin with Triple-A San Antonio, and he will be looking for far better results after being tagged for 31 earned runs over 30 innings pitched at the level last season. Supak was added to the 40-man roster over the offseason, so if he can turn things around he could get a chance to make his big-league debut at some point in 2020.

Brewers' Trey Supak: Promoted to Triple-A
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak was promoted to Triple-A San Antonio on Friday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Supak has been solid with Double-A Biloxi this season, posting a 2.20 ERA and 0.88 WHIP with a 91:23 K:BB over 122.2 frames. He'll take one step close to the big leagues following Friday's promotion.

Brewers' Trey Supak: Just misses no-hitter again
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak fell one out short of a no-hitter Tuesday for the second time this season.

Supak threw 8.2 hitless innings in a May 30 start, and -- in a game scheduled for only seven innings -- he threw 6.2 hitless frames Tuesday before allowing a hit to the second-to-last batter he faced. While the no-hitters have eluded him, they help illustrate just how well Supak has pitched this season: over 19 starts with Double-A Biloxi, he has gone 10-4 with a 2.15 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 85:21 K:BB and .189 BAA over 117 innings.

Brewers' Trey Supak: One out short of no-hitter
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak threw 8.2 hitless innings in a game with Double-A Biloxi on Thursday, allowing a double to the last batter he faced before being removed from the game.

Supak came as close as possible to a no-hitter Thursday, but ultimately saw his bid fall short. Despite the heartbreaking finish, Supak still managed to allow zero earned runs for the third outing in a row -- a span over which he threw 22.1 innings to lower his ERA from 2.76 to a sparkling 1.85. Supak isn't a big strikeout guy, but he now owns a 2.44 career ERA at the Double-A level. It seems likely the 23-year-old will get his first taste of Triple-A action at some point this summer.

Brewers' Trey Supak: Banished from big-league camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak was optioned to minor-league camp.

While he lacks an above-average fastball (typically 90-92 mph), Supak has all the other ingredients typically found in a back-end starter. He will likely head to Triple-A and could make his big-league debut in September.

Brewers' Trey Supak: Moved onto 40-man roster
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak's contract was purchased from Double-A Biloxi on Tuesday, Robert Murray of The Athletic reports.

Supak impressed across stops at Biloxi and High-A Carolina in 2018, prompting the Brewers to add him to their 40-man roster in advance of the Rule 5 draft. The 22-year-old right-hander posted a combined 2.48 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 25 starts between the Mudcats and Shuckers.

Brewers' Trey Supak: Finding his stride at Double-A
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak threw six scoreless innings in a start with Double-A Biloxi on Monday.

Supak has been lights-out of late, as Monday's outing marked the fifth time in seven starts he went at least five innings while giving up no runs. He has had a nice 2018 campaign, recording a 1.76 ERA over nine starts with High-A Carolina and a 3.12 ERA through 15 starts with Biloxi while posting a 119:42 K:BB in 131.2 innings between both levels.

Brewers' Trey Supak: Throwing well for High-A squad
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak is 1-0 with a 0.60 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 15 innings over three starts with High-A Carolina.

Supak struggled a bit out of the gate after being promoted to Carolina last summer, but he posted a 2.41 ERA over his final eight appearances of 2017, and that has carried over to the start of the current campaign.

Brewers' Trey Supak: Gets transferred to Wisconsin
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Supak was promoted to Low-A Wisconsin on Sunday.

Supak has performed well for the Brewers in Rookie Ball this season, posting a 1.49 ERA and 0.79 WHIP over 14 innings of work. The 20-year-old's efficient production has been rewarded as he'll now head to Low-A Wisconsin, where he'll test his skills against better competition.
