An arrest has been made in the case involving New York Knicks forward Cleanthony Early, per the New York Daily News. Back in December, Early, 24, was in an Uber car with his girlfriend outside of a strip club in Queens when three cars boxed them in and they were robbed at gunpoint. Early was shot in the knee and missed more than two months of the season.

From the Daily News:

Delvon Dowling, whose nickname is “Bam Bam,” was arraigned Saturday in Brooklyn Federal Court in the Dec. 30 stickup of Early, his girlfriend and their Uber car service driver outside the CityScapes Gentleman’s strip club in Maspeth, Queens.

A complaint unsealed Monday, which does not mention Early by name, describes how “multiple vehicles surrounded the Uber car and multiple assailants approached the Uber car with firearms.”

After handing over his property, including two cell phones, “one of the assailants shot the victim in the leg,” stated William Puskas of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

Dowling was arrested Friday and admitted that he was part of the crew that had planned the robbery and waited outside the jiggle joint in three cars for the victims to come out.

According to the complaint, Dowling was not the shooter, but he sold the two cell phones for $40.

Early made his return to the court in March with the D-League's Westchester Knicks, and has since been called up to New York. With star forward Carmelo Anthony resting, Early made his first start of the season on Sunday against the Indiana Pacers.
