LaVar Ball says Lonzo will 'step over' Magic Johnson to be best guard ever
The most outspoken father in the NBA didn't disappoint during Lonzo's second Summer League game

Lonzo Ball was 2 or 15 in his NBA Summer League debut on Friday, but LaVar Ball is 2-2 when it comes to outrageous quotes.
On Friday LaVar Ball said Lonzo winning Rookie of the Year was a "done deal," and the outspoken patriarch of the Big Baller Brand didn't disappoint in his interview during Saturday's game between the Lakers and Celtics.
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne asked LaVar Ball about the relationship between Lonzo Ball and Lakers president Magic Johnson, and LaVar took it from there.
"Y'all about to see the best guard -- with Magic, what he was doing, he fittin' to pass the torch to Lonzo," LaVar Ball said. "Lonzo's fittin' to step over him, to be the best guard ever."

For the record, Johnson is a five-time NBA champion, a three-time league MVP, a three-time Finals MVP, a 12-time All-Star and a nine-time All-NBA First Team selection. Lonzo Ball has yet to play a regular-season game.
LaVar Ball's motto the past few months has been, "speak it into existence," so this is surely another instance of that policy. Lonzo Ball got off to a good start Saturday, putting up three points, five rebounds and four assists in the first quarter after his lackluster first game.
