Report: Doc Rivers to recruit Ray Allen for Clippers
Doc Rivers reportedly went after Ray Allen earlier this summer, and is expected to do so again.

Allen met with the Clippers two years ago as a free agent but chose to sign with the Miami Heat instead. That was, of course, before Rivers had left the Boston Celtics for Los Angeles.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been thought of as the front-runner for Allen's services for quite some time, though his agent has repeatedly denied that the veteran has chosen his next destination or even decided whether or not he wants to play basketball next season. He could also choose not to sign right away and join a contender of his choosing later in the year. The Clippers should qualify as a contender.
If he decides to go to Los Angeles, Allen would provide extra shooting on the wing to complement Jamal Crawford and J.J. Redick. He'd also give the Clippers championship experience, something only Jordan Farmar has. Los Angeles has only 11 players under contract after waiving Miroslav Raduljica and Carlos Delfino, and can only offer the veteran minimum.
Allen, 39, averaged 9.6 points per game last season in Miami, shooting 38 percent from 3-point range.
