Adams (knee) will likely be sidelined throughout the entirety of the Grizzlies' postseason run, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Adams hasn't played since Jan. 22 after sustaining a sprained PCL in his right knee. He received a stem-cell injection a month ago to address the injury, but he hasn't responded from the treatment as well as the Grizzlies hoped. With Adams likely shut down for the rest of the season, Xavier Tillman has served as the primary replacement in the starting five, though the Grizzlies have also made more use of Jaren Jackson at center while opening up more minutes at power forward for Santi Aldama. The trio should remain the Grizzlies' primary frontcourt options throughout the playoffs, though Kenneth Lofton, who had his two-way deal converted to a standard contract Saturday, could sneak into the rotation.... Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Out for rest of regular season
The Grizzlies announced Thursday that Adams (knee) received a stem cell injection to address the PCL sprain in his right knee and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Up until Thursday, Adams was considered day-to-day and was expected to make his return to the lineup sometime within the next few games. However, his sprained right knee apparently wasn't healing as well as the team had hoped, so further treatment was deemed necessary. The injection and the subsequent re-evaluation period will essentially rule the big man out for the remainder of the regular season, a massive blow to a Grizzlies team that recently lost Brandon Clarke to a torn Achilles and is without Ja Morant (suspension) indefinitely. For now, the team is aiming for Adams to return to action during the playoffs, but clarity on the situation likely won't arrive until closer to the final week of the regular season. In the meantime, Xavier Tillman will continue to be the primary beneficiary from a fantasy perspective as the Grizzlies' starting center.... See More ... See Less -

Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Remains out Sunday
Adams (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Clippers. Adams hasn't played since Jan. 22 due to a right knee sprain. It's unclear when he'll be able to suit up again, but the Grizzlies desperately need frontcourt depth after losing Brandon Clarke (lower leg) for the rest of the season. Adams' next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Lakers.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Out again Friday
Adams (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's matchup against the Nuggets, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports. Adams hasn't played in over a month as he continues to recover from his right knee sprain. Xavier Tillman, Brandon Clarke and Santi Aldama should all continue to see increased roles until Adams is fully healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Making strides, but still out
Head coach Taylor Jenkins said Monday that Adams (knee) has progressed to 5-on-5 work recently, but the Grizzlies aren't expecting the big man back until after their upcoming four-game road trip at the earliest, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports. Adams hasn't played since Jan. 22 due to a right knee sprain, and given the coach's timeline, the veteran center will miss at least five more contests before he has a chance to suit up again. Things are certainly subject to change quickly, but it appears like Xavier Tillman, Brandon Clarke and Santi Aldama should continue to split time at center for at least another week.... See More ... Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Out again Saturday
Adams (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nuggets. Adams remains out due to a PCL sprain he suffered in late January. It's unclear when he'll be back in action, but his next chance to suit up will come Tuesday versus the Lakers. In his absence, Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman have garnered increased roles, and Clarke has started each of the Grizzlies' past two contests after Tillman had a string of six straight starts.... Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Won't play Thursday
Adams (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the 76ers, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports. Adams has been sidelined since late January due to a PCL sprain in his right knee, and he'll remain out during the Grizzlies' first game after the All-Star break. While coach Taylor Jenkins didn't officially rule Adams out for the team's matchup against the Nuggets on Saturday, it sounds unlikely that the center will be able to return over the weekend. Brandon Clarke served as the Grizzlies' starting center during last week's game against the Jazz, but Xavier Tillman should also continue to see increased run, even if he remains in a bench role following the layoff.... Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Posts big double-double in loss
Adams closed with 16 points (6-7 FG, 4-9 FT), 17 rebounds, two assists and one block over 26 minutes during Friday's 122-121 loss to the Lakers. Adams was a beast on the boards Friday, tallying a game-high 17 rebounds, eight of which came on the offensive glass. The big man also tied a season high with 16 points, his only weak point being another poor performance from the charity stripe. Adams ranks fourth in the NBA with 11.4 boards per game, but he's outside the top 150 in nine-category fantasy leagues due to his mediocre scoring (8.6 PPG), tepid blocks production (1.1 BPG) and atrocious free-throw shooting (35.2 percent).... Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Pulls down 18 rebounds
Adams accumulated 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 FT), 18 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 135-129 victory over San Antonio. Adams and Jaren Jackson combined for 30 rebounds, but Adams was the driving force on the glass for a Memphis team that had to grind out a tight win over a combative Spurs team. With a career-worst 33 percent mark from the free-throw line on 2.9 attempts per game, Adams has been toxic in that particular area, but he retains higher value in points formats or in category leagues in which managers are punting free-throw percentage. His 11.5 rebounds per game are the best mark of his career by a full rebound and a half.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Dominates glass in victory
Adams finished Monday's 121-113 victory over San Antonio with 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-11 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists and one steal over 28 minutes. Adams continues to provide elite rebounding numbers, grabbing 15 boards Monday. He has actually been a pillar of consistency of late, racking up multiple double-doubles while chipping in on the defensive end. Unfortunately, he was woeful from the line, shooting 3-of-11. Anyone rostering him should be fully aware of his flaws, meaning a night like this should come as no surprise.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Steven Adams: Available Monday
Adams (illness) is available for Monday's contest against San Antonio, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports. After missing the Grizzlies' last contest, Adams is officially available for Monday's matchup against the Spurs. The veteran center is averaging 8.0 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists across 26.8 minutes throughout his first 35 appearances this season. Xavier Tillman figures to return to his typical reserve role with Adams back in action.... See More ... See Less -

Adams (illness) is questionable for Monday's matchup against the Spurs. Adams was sidelined for the first half of Memphis' back-to-back set Sunday due to an illness and is questionable for the second half Monday. If he's sidelined again, Xavier Tillman figures to draw another start, while Santi Aldama sees an increased workload behind Tillman and Jaren Jackson.... See More ... See Less
