Capela notched 10 points (3-6 FG, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, one block and two steals in 30 minutes during Sunday's 129-121 loss to the Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Capela was one of four Hawks to score in double figures and finished tied for second on the team in rebounds with De'Andre Hunter. Through the first four matchups of the opening-round series, the veteran center has averaged 9.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 26.0 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less

Hawks' Clint Capela: Comes close to double-double
Capela accumulated 12 points (6-8 FG), eight rebounds and one steal across 27 minutes during Saturday's 112-99 loss to Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The Hawks struggled offensively as a unit, but Capela posted a decent stat line by missing just two of his shots from the field while ending just two boards away from a double-double. He'll remain Atlanta's biggest threat down low on both ends of the court ahead of Game 2 on Tuesday.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Dominant on glass in victory
Capela accumulated four points (2-3 FG, 0-4 FT), 21 rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 28 minutes during Tuesday's 116-105 Play-In victory over the Heat. Capela led all players in Tuesday's Play-In Game in boards while surpassing the 20-rebound mark and accounting for one-third of the overall team rebounds in a winning effort. Capela, who posted a new season-high total on the glass during the regular season, has hauled in 20 or more boards twice this year.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Will suit up Tuesday
Capela (calf) isn't listed on the Hawks' injury report for Tuesday's Play-In matchup against the Heat. Capela sat out the regular-season finale due to right calf tightness, but as expected, he'll be good to go for the Hawks' first playoff action. Across 65 regular-season appearances (63 starts), the veteran center averaged 12.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 26.6 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Will miss regular-season finale
Capela is out for Sunday's game against the Celtics due to right calf tightness. Capela is one of several starters that will miss the regular-season finale Sunday to have him fully fit for the Play-In matchup against the Heat on Tuesday. Capela ends the regular season averaging 12.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game across 65 appearances (63 starts).... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Easy line in win
Capela finished with nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, three blocks and one steal over 15 minutes during Wednesday's 134-116 win over Washington. On the second night of a back-to-back set, Capela wasn't needed for his full workload. Capela nonetheless had a big impact, including a highlight-worthy, no-look steal. He was dominant as a paint protector, although prior to Wednesday he had gone four straight games without blocking a shot.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Third straight double-double
Capela posted 12 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 120-118 win over Cleveland. It was the third straight double-double for Capela and his 33rd of the season, putting him just outside the top 10 in the league for that category. The 28-year-old center has been able to stay healthy lately, and it shows, as he's averaging 12.4 points, 11.1 boards, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 assists over 14 games in March while shooting 74.3 percent from the floor.... Hawks' Clint Capela: Double-double with four blocks
Capela had 18 points (8-11 FG, 2-2 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist, four blocks and one steal across 29 minutes during Sunday's 123-119 loss to the Grizzlies. Capela matched his season high with four blocks, notching his fourth double-double in the past five games. Outside of one prolonged absence, Capela has been relatively healthy this season, putting up top-40 value for the season. Unfortunately, he is blocking only 1.3 shots per game, eerily similar to what he was able to do last season. Despite not being the elite shot blocker he once was, Capela remains a solid center option across all fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Dominates glass in Tuesday's win
Capela finished with 12 points (6-7 FG, 0-2 FT), 16 rebounds, two blocks and two steals over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 129-107 victory over the Pistons. It's the veteran center's best performance on the glass since he ripped down 17 boards against the Suns on Feb. 7. Capela is up to 30 double-doubles on the season in 56 games, and through 10 contests in March he's averaging 11.5 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while shooting 74.0 percent from the floor.... Hawks' Clint Capela: Leading rebounder in double-double
Capela finished with 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Sunday's 126-118 loss to San Antonio. Capela was ridden the double-double train twice in the past three games and is now up to 29 for the season. He had seen less playing time than backup Onyeka Okongwu in each of the previous three contests, but Capela received eight more minutes than Okongwu on Sunday to temporarily halt any talk of the two centers moving into a timeshare.... Hawks' Clint Capela: Trending in wrong direction
Capela racked up six points (3-4 FG, 0-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 22 minutes during Friday's 127-119 victory over the Warriors. Capela is still holding onto the starting job in Atlanta, but Onyeka Okongwu is slowly winning the position battle and has played more minutes in three straight games. Capela has still been productive in limited minutes as a great source of rebounds and blocks on efficient shooting, but his current trajectory is pointed in the wrong direction.... See More ... Hawks' Clint Capela: Keeps double-digit streak alive
Capela posted 12 points (6-6 FG, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes during Monday's 130-128 loss to the Heat. Capela was perfect from the field and posted his fourth straight double-double while posting double-digit rebounds for the fifth game in a row. Capela has left his injury woes behind and is back to his old productive self while contributing on both ends of the court. He's averaging 11.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game since the start of February.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Third straight double-double
Capela ended with 16 points (8-10 FG), 13 rebounds, one block and one steal across 25 minutes during Saturday's 117-109 loss to the Heat. Capela scored in double figures for the seventh time over his past eight appearances and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds en route to his third straight double-double. During that stretch, the veteran big man is averaging 13.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals in 28.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Second straight double-double
Capela provided 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 25 minutes during Friday's 129-111 victory over the Trail Blazers. Capela recorded another double-double Friday night, which was only his fourth since the beginning of February after finishing January with four in a row. For a short stretch, it was looking like he was starting to lose minutes to backup center Onyeka Okongwu, but in the two games since new head coach Quin Snyder has joined the sideline, the veteran big man has regained his usual workload and is producing like normal. In the last two contests, Capela has shot 11-for-15 and pulled down 27 boards while adding four blocks and three steals.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Double-double against Wizards
Capela accumulated 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 119-116 loss to the Wizards. It's his first double-double since Feb. 11 in his biggest workload since Jan. 23, as Capela came through with a solid performance for new head coach Quin Snyder. The veteran center has stayed healthy and pulled down double-digit boards in 11 of the last 15 games, averaging 12.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks over that stretch while shooting 58.6 percent from the floor.... Hawks' Clint Capela: Records double-double
Capela closed with 14 points (7-12 FG), 12 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 29 minutes during Saturday's 125-106 win over San Antonio. Capela made his presence felt on both ends of the court, as he displayed energy on the glass, was efficient with his offensive touches and also provided help defensively by protecting the rim. The veteran big man struggled with injuries in late December and early January, but he has turned things around recently and is averaging 11.6 points and 11.6 rebounds since returning to a starting role (12 games).... Hawks' Clint Capela: Grabs team-high 11 boards
Capela ended Saturday's 128-108 loss to the Nuggets with 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 FT) and 11 rebounds across 26 minutes. Capela got off to a strong start on the offensive end, knocking down all three of his field goal attempts in the first quarter for six points. He went just 2-of-7 from the second quarter on, however, while adding eight rebounds over that stretch. The Hawks' center grabbed a team-high 11 boards in the contest to notch his 22nd double-double of the season and he's now grabbed double-digit rebounds in eight straight.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Nabs fourth straight double-double
Capela finished with 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-2 FT), 15 rebounds and three assists in Monday's 129-125 loss to the Trail Blazers. Though Capela came away with his fourth double-double in a row, the 4-for-11 showing from the field was disappointing for a player who has been converting at a 64.3 percent clip for the season. The inefficient showing can thus be viewed as an outlier for Capela, whose fantasy value appears to be on the upswing now that he's begun to wrangle a larger share of the center minutes away from backup Onyeka Okongwu. In the last three contests in which both big men have been available, Capela is averaging 28.3 minutes to Okongwu's 19.7.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Perfect from field
Capela finished with 18 points (8-8 FG, 2-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one block and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 137-132 win over the Thunder. Capela struggled from the charity stripe, but other than that, this was an excellent game for him since he was perfect from the field, active on the glass and helpful defensively. The big man has posted back-to-back double-doubles and has scored in double digits in five of his six games since returning to the hardwood, so he didn't miss a step despite being sidelined for 10 straight games between late December and mid-January.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Clint Capela: Big minutes in loss
Capela contributed 16 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 36 minutes during Monday's 111-100 loss to the Bulls. The 36 minutes were a season-high total for Capela, who had been limited to between 20 and 24 minutes in his first four games since returning from a calf injury earlier this month. The fact that top backup Onyeka Okongwu (hamstring) was sidelined certainly played a role in Capela receiving elevated playing time, though the Hawks' willingness to hand the veteran center big minutes at least bodes well for his outlook. While another injury could be just around the corner for Capela, managers should feel comfortable rolling him out with the hope that he can return to his early-season form.... See More ... See Less
