Cumberland will be brought in to compete for a roster spot, though the team has yet to reveal the details of the contract. The Cincinnati product hasn't appeared in an NBA game since 2021 while with Portland, so he seems destined to end up in the G League prior to the start of the 2025-26 season.

The 6-foot-5 swingman out of Cincinnati was one of three players who joined Portland on 10-day deals Sunday, as the Trail Blazers are set to play without at least eight members of their regular roster Monday against the Mavericks. Due to the numerous missing players, Cumberland could pick up minutes in the short term, though likely not enough to make him a fantasy option. He recently took home MVP honors at the 2021 NBA G League Showcase, averaging 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists in Las Vegas while playing for the Delaware Blue Coats.
