  • Hawks' Keaton Wallace: Joins Atlanta on two-way deal

    Wallace signed a two-way contract with the Hawks on Monday.

    Wallace suited up for Atlanta's G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks, during the 2023-24 season, appearing 16 games while averaging 12.9 points, 6.1 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 30.0 minutes per contest. He's continued to make an impression for the Hawks in the Las Vegas Summer League and will now head into training camp as one of the organization's three two-way players. Wallace has yet to make his NBA debut since going undrafted out of UTSA in 2021-22.

  • Keaton Wallace: Waived by Atlanta

    Wallace was waived by the Hawks on Sunday, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.

    Wallace joined Atlanta on a training camp deal in late September, but he's been let go with the preseason now underway. The 24-year-old has yet to debut in the NBA but played in the G League the past two years, and he averaged 14.6 points, 4.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 32.6 minutes last season.

    The Hawks signed Wallace to a training camp deal Friday, Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.

    Wallace has yet to make an NBA appearance but spent the last two seasons in the G League. In 2022-23, he averaged 14.6 points, 4.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 32.6 minutes across 30 games for the Ontario Clippers. Wallace will likely join Atlanta's G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks, to start 2023-24.

    Wallace agreed to a two-way deal with L.A. just over a week ago but didn't end up making his NBA debut before the Clippers opted to hand his two-way slot to guard Xavier Moon, who was signed in a corresponding move.
