The Hawks waived on Ndiaye (shoulder) on Wednesday.
Ndiaye had been signed to a two-way deal with Atlanta, but he didn't make his NBA debut before he sustained a torn labrum Dec. 9 while playing with the G League's College Park Skyhawks, which will require season-ending surgery on his left shoulder. The Hawks will sign point guard RayJ Dennis to fill Ndiaye's vacated two-way slot.

Hawks' Eli John Ndiaye: Out for season with shoulder injury
Rotowire
The Hawks announced Sunday that Ndiaye sustained a left shoulder subluxation in a Dec. 9 game with the G League's College Park Skyhawks and has been diagnosed with a torn labrum. He'll undergo surgery in early January and will miss the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old big man signed a one-year, two-way contract in the offseason, but he'll end the campaign without having made his NBA debut. Ndiaye appeared in nine games for College Park, averaging 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 26.2 minutes. The Hawks could look to waive Ndiaye at some point in the coming weeks in order to free up a two-way slot for a healthy player.

Hawks' Eli John Ndiaye: Logs three minutes in preseason
Rotowire
Ndiaye (wrist) contributed two points (1-1 FG) over three minutes in Monday's 122-113 preseason loss to the Rockets.
Ndiaye saw limited action in the Hawks' preseason opener, converting his lone shot attempt. While his minutes were minimal, his participation was an encouraging sign for his health after he missed all but one Summer League game with a wrist injury.
