Although Williams has flashed some impressive playmaking skills at times -- he had a pair of games with at least 15 dimes in late November -- his fantasy value is heading into a tailspin. The combo guard has averaged 5.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game across his past four contests, shooting a paltry 25.8 percent from the floor. With Ja Morant (calf) nearing a return, most fantasy managers likely shouldn't be clinging to Williams.

Just three games after setting a new career high with 15 assists in a win over the Kings on Nov. 20, Williams produced even better distribution numbers. The fourth-year guard has started five straight games while Ja Morant (calf) is on the shelf, and while his shooting remains erratic, Williams is averaging 7.8 points, 10.8 assists, 6.6 boards and 1.4 steals in 27.4 minutes a contest during this stretch.

Williams finished with 10 points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals over 24 minutes during Saturday's 102-96 victory over the Mavericks.
Williams continues to serve as the makeshift point guard in Memphis, recording his second straight double-double, albeit with points and rebounds. While his points will fluctuate from one game to the next, he should be a reliable source of assists and steals while also providing out-of-position rebounds. He's worth rostering in all fantasy formats.
