  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Woeful shooting Sunday

Garland logged 17 points (5-19 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Sunday's 92-81 loss to New York. Garland missed eight of his last nine shot attempts as Cleveland was unable to pull out a win over the Knicks. He's been inconsistent shooting of late and has made just 38.8 percent of his shots while averaging 18.8 points per game in his last six contests. Even with the recent struggles, he's still averaging 22.2 points and making 40.8 percent of his three-pointers through 18 games this year.

Garland chipped in 21 points (9-16 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds and nine assists over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 113-85 win over Philadelphia. Garland served as more of a facilitator in the first half, dishing out seven assists while taking just seven shots. After halftime, he scored 14 of his 21 points while going 6-for-9 from the field. He's recorded at least nine assists in five of the last six games, bringing his season average up to 8.1 per contest.

  • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Inefficient double-double in win

Garland finished Sunday's 102-94 win over Detroit with 19 points (4-19 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 11-12 FT), three rebounds and 10 assists over 40 minutes. Garland was wildly inefficient from the floor in the win, although he salvaged his night with a game-high 10 assists. It was just his fourth double-double of the season, a number that has certainly been impacted by the arrival of Donovan Mitchell. With that said, he has now scored in double-digits in all but one game thus far and appears to be developing nice chemistry with Mitchell. Outside of some inconsistent shooting, managers should be very happy with what he has been able to deliver on a nightly basis.

Garland racked up 15 points (5-19 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Friday's 106-101 loss to Golden State. Garland's inefficient shooting continued Friday night, though he managed to hit all four free throws. The 22-year-old had an otherwise solid performance, dishing out at least seven assists for the fifth consecutive game and adding a couple of steals. • Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Limited impact in defeat

Garland posted six points (1-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and eight assists over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 127-120 loss to the Kings. Garland posted his second double-double of the season during Monday's narrow loss to the Clippers, but he was much less efficient during Wednesday's matchup. He remained productive as a distributor but was limited to just six points on a nightmare shooting effort. The 22-year-old had averaged 24.0 points and 10.3 assists in 39.7 minutes per game over his three appearances ahead of Wednesday's matchup, so better days are ahead for the fourth-year pro.

Garland just missed recording his third straight effort of 20-plus points, but he more than made up for falling short by tying a season high with 12 assists. The point guard missed much of the early part of the season with an eye injury and sat out Friday due to a knee issue, but he appears to be healthy now given that he played both games of a Sunday-Monday back-to-back set and averaged 38.5 minutes. Garland has played in just four games so far this season, but he's looked good with averages of 19.0 points, 8.5 assists, 2.8 boards, 2.5 triples and 1.5 steals per contest.
