Achiuwa recorded five points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one block in 20 minutes during Sunday's 118-111 loss to Milwaukee. Achiuwa played a few extra minutes in the loss, thanks primarily to the fact Scottie Barnes left with a wrist injury after just 13 minutes. Since the arrival of Jakob Poeltl, Achiuwa has faded into obscurity, sitting well outside the top 350 in fantasy basketball over the past month. While the injury to Barnes could afford Achiuwa somewhat of a reprieve, it is unlikely he becomes anything more than an add in deeper formats.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Logs 14 minutes in win
Achiuwa notched four points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 14 minutes during Tuesday's 125-110 victory over the Nuggets. Achiuwa's fall from grace continued Tuesday, playing fewer than 15 minutes for a third straight game. After a period of 12-team relevance, Achiuwa has quickly declined to be nothing more than a role player for the Raptors, coinciding with the arrival of Jakob Poeltl. The Raptors have made it clear they are pushing for the playoffs, meaning Achiuwa is unlikely to move up in the rotation, barring an injury to one of the starters.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Downward trend continues
Achiuwa finished Saturday's 116-109 overtime victory over Washington with four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal over 19 minutes. Achiuwa's days of being a fantasy-relevant player are now well and truly behind him, with his performance Saturday doing nothing to dispel those thoughts. The acquisition of Jakob Poeltl was the nail in the coffin, especially given the Raptors appear as though they are going to push for wins ROS. If for some reason you are still hanging onto Achiuwa, rest assured you can now safely send him back to the waiver wire.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Quiet double-double Tuesday
Achiuwa accumulated 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds and one block in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 123-113 victory over Orlando. Achiuwa remained in the starting lineup Tuesday, but his time on the top unit could come to an end as soon as the Raptors get one of Gary Trent (calf) or OG Anunoby (wrist) back after the All-Star break. While Achiuwa has enjoyed a productive last couple of weeks, the arrival of Jakob Poeltl at the trade deadline basically ended any long-term hopes fantasy managers had about Achiuwa's viability in 12-team leagues for the duration of the season. He can be held for now, but once Toronto is back to full strength, Achiuwa's fantasy value will likely drop precipitously.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Will play Tuesday
Achiuwa (ankle) will play Tuesday against the Magic, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Achiuwa was initially listed as questionable due to a right ankle sprain, but he's been cleared for action and will presumably draw a ninth straight start. Since being inserted into the starting lineup, he's averaging 13.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 30.5 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Questionable Tuesday
Achiuwa is questionable for Tuesday's game against Orlando due to a right ankle sprain, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Achiuwa has started the last eight games, averaging 13.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 30.5 minutes per game during that time. However, he was unable to practice Monday due to his ankle issue, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for the Raptors' only game this week. Jakob Poeltl would likely see an even larger role if Achiuwa is sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Scores 16 in starting lineup
Achiuwa finished with 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists over 31 minutes during Friday's 122-116 loss to the Jazz. Achiuwa kept his spot with the starters despite the arrival of Jakob Poeltl, but coach Nick Nurse said he hasn't made up his mind about the position yet. With Poeltl's role likely to grow and Chris Boucher playing well off the bench, this logjam isn't ideal for any of their fantasy managers. OG Anunoby's (wrist) eventual return will also add a wrinkle to the starting lineup decisions.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Starting run may be over
Achiuwa racked up 10 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 112-98 win over San Antonio. Starting his sixth straight game, Achiuwa turned in another solid performance, but his run as a fantasy asset may be coming to an end. The 23-year-old has scored in double digits in 11 of the last 12 games, averaging 13.9 points, 8.5 boards, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks over that stretch in 30.3 minutes a contest, but the addition of Jakob Poeltl after Wednesday's win figures to cut into Achiuwa's workload significantly, and likely bump him back to the bench for the remainder of the season.... Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Another double-double
Achiuwa registered 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 114-106 loss to the Suns. With OG Anunoby (wrist) out, Achiuwa remained in the starting lineup Monday and posted his third straight double-double and fifth over his last six appearances (four starts). During that stretch, the third-year big man is averaging 17.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.2 assists in 33.8 minutes per game. Anunoby is expected to miss at least a week, so Achiuwa should remain in the starting lineup and have plenty of opportunities to maintain his recent string of success.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Posts big game in blowout
Achiuwa racked up 27 points (11-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two steals and one block across 33 minutes during Saturday's 123-105 win over the Trail Blazers. For the fifth game in a row, Achiuwa saw elevated minutes and picked up his third start over that stretch, this time stepping up to the top unit in place of OG Anunoby (wrist). The frontcourt tandem of Achiuwa and Pascal Siakam (24 points, four assists) proved lethal against the Trail Blazers, and Achiuwa's recent run of production should make him head coach Nick Nurse's preferred big man off the bench over Chris Boucher even if Anunoby is back in action for Monday's game in Phoenix. Achiuwa has recorded four double-doubles over his last five outings and is averaging 18.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.2 assists and 0.6 blocks while shooting 62.7 percent from the field and 78.9 percent from the charity stripe during that stretch.... Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Starting for injured Anunoby
Achiuwa will start Saturday's matchup at Portland, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Achiuwa gets the nod with OG Anunoby (wrist) sidelined. In his previous two starts this season, he's averaged 14.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block in 36.0 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Strong double-double in loss
Achiuwa recorded 17 points (8-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Friday's 129-117 loss to the Warriors. Achiuwa played a whopping 36 minutes off the bench Friday, likely as a result of an injury to OG Anunoby (wrist). Anunoby took a hard fall, landing awkwardly on his left wrist. While X-rays were negative, there is certainly a chance he will miss time. If that is the case, Achiuwa appears in the box seat to step up in the rotation. Even with Anunoby healthy, Achiuwa has been knocking on the door of 12-team leagues over the past two weeks, putting up top-150 value over that time. He is limited in terms of what he can bring to the table, but for anyone in need of points and rebounds, he is at least worth a look.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Returns to bench
Achiuwa will shift to the second unit for Wednesday's game against Sacramento, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Achiuwa has enjoyed a two-game stint with the starters, notching a double-double in each contest. However, with OG Anunoby (ankle) back in action, Achiuwa will return to his typical bench role. In 22 games off the bench, Achiuwa has averaged 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds over 18.7 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Notches second double-double
Achiuwa chipped in 12 points (2-4 FG, 8-10 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals over 35 minutes during Sunday's 125-116 win over New York. Achiuwa did the majority of his scoring from the charity stripe, as he attempted a season-high 10 free throws in the victory. He also managed to turn in his second straight double-double in consecutive starts. Achiuwa could be in line for another start Wednesday in Sacramento if OG Anunoby (ankle) is forced to miss another game.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Remains in starting lineup
Achiuwa will start at center in Sunday's game against the Knicks, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Achiuwa drew his start of the season Saturday with Fred VanVleet (ribs) out, but the former will remain in the starting lineup Sunday despite the latter being cleared, as OG Anunoby (ankle) is now sidelined. Achiuwa posted 17 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks across a season-high 37 minutes against Boston and will look to maintain his strong play against New York.... Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Notches rare double-double
Achiuwa notched 17 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals over 37 minutes during Saturday's 106-104 loss to the Celtics. With Fred VanVleet (ribs) sitting out, the Raptors moved Achiuwa into the starting five to counter the Celtics' big frontcourt of Al Horford and Robert Williams. While taking hold of significant playing time, Achiuwa came through with an excellent all-around line, albeit with his usual poor efficiency from the field. OG Anunoby (ankle) exited Saturday's game early and could be in line to sit out Sunday's game against the Knicks along with VanVleet, potentially setting Achiuwa up for a second straight contest in which he garners big minutes.... Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Starting Saturday
Achiuwa will join the starting five for Saturday's game against Boston, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. Achiuwa will man the center spot as the Raptors turn to a big lineup with Fred VanVleet (hip) out. Although it will be the 23-year-old's first start of the season, Achiuwa has impressed over his last four contests, averaging 11.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.8 blocks across 23.7 minutes.... Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Leads bench with 18 minutes
Achiuwa logged 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two rebounds and five steals in 18 minutes during Thursday's 124-114 win over the Hornets. Achiuwa led the bench with 18 minutes in the victory, scoring in double-digits for the second straight game. He also managed to rack up a career-high five steals, a true outlier if we've ever seen one. Prior to Thursday, he had a combined three steals thus far for the entire season. While he certainly isn't a long-term 12-team asset, the Raptors do have five games next week, making him at least a stream consideration.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Productive defensively in return
Achiuwa (ankle) scored three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and added three blocks, two assists and one steal across 12 minutes in Monday's 122-114 loss to the Pacers. Achiuwa re-entered the Toronto rotation after he had been sidelined for the previous 24 games with a right ankle injury. He served as the Raptors' top big man off the bench ahead of Christian Koloko (11 minutes), Thaddeus Young (eight minutes), Chris Boucher (four minutes) and Juancho Hernangomez (no minutes, coach's decision), but that distinction didn't mean much while head coach Nick Nurse rode his starters heavily. Expect that trend to continue in competitive games, meaning that Achiuwa might struggle to push past the 20-minute mark while Toronto has all its key starters available.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Precious Achiuwa: Returning Monday
Achiuwa (ankle) is available for Monday's contest against the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. After missing Toronto's past 24 contests, Achiuwa will make his return to the team's lineup Monday. Throughout the 23-year-old's first 12 appearances this season, Achiuwa has averaged 8.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 20.4 minutes per game. The likes of Christian Koloko, Thaddeus Young and Khem Birch are all at risk to see less usage with Achiuwa back in action.... See More ... See Less
