Trendon Watford: Let go by Portland
Watford was waived by the Trail Blazers on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Watford has been a productive reserve over the last two seasons in Portland, finishing with averages of at least 7.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 18.0 minutes per game in both campaigns. However, he's been let go to start free agency and will look for new opportunities elsewhere. Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Will be held out Tuesday
Watford (ankle) won't play Tuesday against Memphis, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. Watford played the previous two games for Portland, but he saw limited minutes. Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Questionable Tuesday
Watford (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies. Watford has been playing through the ankle issue the past few games, which could explain why he hasn't logged major minutes despite Portland missing so many key players.
