So long, New York. Hello, Chicago. With the NFL Draft moving from Radio City Music Hall to the Windy City for 2015, it begs the obvious question: Which city has the better pizza? Stuffed and Deep Dish? Or hand-tossed with a thin crust?
Forget the No. 1 pick in the draft. That debate is all but over. But the No. 1 pizza city in America? It’s a rivalry that has raged for decades, maybe even centuries.
On one side is New York, which is famous for its hand-tossed, thin-crust style. The slices consist of the dough, a layer of tomato sauce (usually on the thinner side) and a healthy portion of mozzarella cheese that can be topped with your favorite toppings. Slices are typically cut into a wide, triangle shape and are often enjoyed on-the- go style -- even folded in half -- as you can pop into any local New York pizzeria to enjoy your favorite slice while walking to your destination.

Then there’s Chicago-style pizza, which is more of a meal within a meal. There is no such thing as on-the-go deep dish or stuffed pizza. Pies can take 30-45 minutes to be prepared and cheese, cheese and more cheese is the name of the game. At Giordano’s, one of Chicago's signature pizzarias, there is all kinds of goodness like pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers and more topped with cheese and sandwiched between two layers of delicious dough baked to a perfect crisp.

While the NFL says it will continue to consider other NFL cities for future drafts, this Chicago-New York pizza debate isn’t going anywhere. Ditka vs. Parcells. Sweetness vs. LT. Michigan Avenue vs. Park Avenue. Deep Dish vs. Thin Crust. What side of the pie are you on, America?
