Jordan Taylor didn't run a single route much less catch a single pass during the 2015 season. But his contributions to the Broncos' success -- and Peyton Manning's rehab -- can't be understated. The practice squad receiver became Manning's de facto throwing partner while the quarterback was sidelined with a foot injury.

It's not uncommon for players who aren't playing to help those who are, but Taylor's story gets more interesting because the undrafted free agent out of Rice didn't own a suit. So before the team traveled to San Francisco for Super Bowl 50, he sent Manning a text asking if he could borrow one of Manning's old suits for the flight. The quarterback did Taylor one better: he sent his personal tailor over, got him measured, and the 23-year-old had his very own custom-made suit.

Broncos team employee Phil Milani has the photo evidence:

The arrow continues to point up for Taylor. The Broncos signed him and eight others from the practice squad to reserve-futures deals on Wednesday, according to the Denver Post.

By the way, Taylor's work with Manning didn't go unnoticed; the quarterback said last month to "Remember (Taylor's) name next year." And during training camp, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was already convinced that “Jordan Taylor’s going to be a player."

Meanwhile, the eight other players to sign futures contracts include running back Kapri Bibbs, safety Ryan Murphy, guard Dillon Day, tackles Cameron Jefferson and Kyle Roberts, tight end Nick Kasa, defensive end George Uko and linebacker Zaire Anderson.

Ryan Murphy, you may remember, was sent home from the Super Bowl after he was questioned in a prostitution sting. And Dillon Day had the best tattoo story from Super Bowl Opening Night:

"My first tattoo I got was my back. It's a Polynesian mask. And that was senior year in high school. [The mask] needs some touching up. The guy kinda went outside the lines. He wasn't the best tattoo artist. ... I spent so much time on my back, and I never look at it so I was tired of messing with it. So I just moved to my arms. Then when I got to college, my first tattoo was the dragon. I got them done in New Orleans -- I'm from Louisiana, so I just went there, wanted a dragon, told the guy to draw me up a dragon. Drew that sumbitch up, put it on there. Next got a little Japanese mask. When all that was done with the sleeve, I moved (to the left arm). "I used to have two three-quarter sleeves and then I eventually moved down all the way. I got a tiger, I have a flower with a skull in it. They don't mean anything at all. Nothing at all. The only reason I got them is because I like the way they look." -- Dillon Day, 24, rookie. #tattoosofsb50 #tattoos #sb50 #denverbroncos @doomzday63

In case you're wondering, we talked to Taylor and he doesn't have a single tattoo. Probably too busy catching passes from Manning.
