During the Cowboys fight with the Rams on Tuesday, not only did Dez Bryant get punched in the face, but to add insult to injury, he also lost the diamond earring that he was wearing.

Since the small diamond stud was only about the size of a finger tip, Bryant probably thought the earring was gone for good after he lost it (You can see the earring below, via WFAA-TV).

That wasn't the case though because apparently, the security team at Cowboys training camp excels at things like finding needles in a haystack.

After the Cowboys headed for the locker room after practice, a security guard named Miguel stayed on the field to look for the earring -- and eventually found it. Bryant was so excited to get the jewelry back that he came out to get it in a towel.

"I don't know how the hell you found that," Bryant said. "I appreciate that."

Bryant might have a sore nose after taking that punch, but at least he has his earring back. Of course, bryant could have avoided getting punched and losing his earring if he had decided not to run toward the fight.

By the way, this isn't the first time Dez has lost a diamond earring on the football field. The Cowboys wide receiver also lost one in a 2010 game against the Giants. That story also had a happy ending because a security guard found the earring in that instance, too.
