Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin submitted his nomination for catch of the playoffs on Sunday and it came on a big play for Seattle.

With the Seahawks facing a third-and-10 in the third quarter, Russell Wilson didn't really have anyone to throw to, so he threw a pass up for Baldwin, who was being covered pretty tightly by Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn

Munnerlyn's coverage was good, but it was no match for Baldwin, who made one of the best one-handed catches you'll see in quite some time.

What made the catch so wild is the fact that it came in freezing cold weather.

The temperature in Minnesota is hovering around minus-6 degrees and the football is rock hard, which makes a one-handed catch almost impossible.

Baldwin's catch went for a 17-yard gain and gave the Seahawks a first down. Here's another angle of catch.

Wilson would eventually waste the big play though by throwing an interception a few plays later.

The Seahawks are trailing 9-7 at the end of the third quarter.
