LOOK: Jared Goff is a huge Harry Potter fan
The Rams' franchise QB seemed more excited about Warner Bros. studio than his new deal
First-overall pick Jared Goff may have just signed his rookie deal that will pay him more than $18.5 million in guarantees, but the Rams' franchise quarterback seemed more interested in the recent rookie retreat that included a tour of Warner Bros. Studios.
Specifically, Goff's a big fan of Harry Potter.
"Yeah, I like Harry Potter," Goff admitted, via ESPN.com. "I've seen all of them, I think. We were out at Warner Brothers -- all of the rookies were, a little rookie retreat. Got to see some cool things. That was part of it, to get in front of the green screen. I've always been interested in that kind of movie stuff, so that was a cool thing for me."

In case you're wondering, Goff didn't take a turn under the Sorting Hat -- because he's already done it.
"I did the Sorting Hat at media day last year [in college]," he said. "We were at the same place, we were at Warner Brothers. I did The Sorting Hat and it was the Gryffindor, and I was like, 'I'm not doing it again. It could be something bad.'"
Given Goff's disposition, Gryffindor makes perfect sense; members include Harry Potter, the Weasley's, Hermione Granger and Neville Longbottom.

Goff, who could very well be the Rams' starter to begin the season, seemed less excited -- though thoroughly pleased about -- his newfound wealth.

"It feels good," he said of signing his new deal. "I think, first and foremost, I want to thank the Rams and [owner] Mr. [Stan] Kroenke, and [general manager] Les [Snead] and coach [Jeff] Fisher for ultimately selecting me and bringing me in and allowing that to happen. It feels good to get that behind me.
"No, I wasn't really involved. It was really simple, very easy, and zero pain. It was really easy. Like I said, I'm excited to get it behind me and focus on football -- and really I have been. I've felt like I was a part of the team since the moment they picked me. It was almost a formality."
