Patriots announce renovations to Gillette Stadium, stadium enhancements to be completed by 2023
The Patriots are revamping their home stadium, which had its inaugural seaosn in 2002

The New England Patriots are transforming Gillette Stadium beginning early next year, announcing a $225 million renovation project that will enhance the fan experience for the next several decades.
Per the Patriots, the enhancements include a renovated plaza leading into the stadium, including a new and enhanced lighthouse in the north endzone. Inside the stadium, there will be a prominent new high definition video board as well as new and improved concession locations and other fan amenities. The Patriots also will add the largest outdoor stadium high-definition video board in the country, measuring 370' x 60' -- doubling the size of the video screen on the south end zone of the stadium.
The renovated lighthouse will include an observation deck that will be accessible to fans visiting the stadium and One Patriot Place year-round and available for private events. The fan entrance into the north end of Gillette Stadium also will be modernized with a new fan-activation area on the lower plaza, along with a landscaped staircase will lead guests up to the concourse, as fans will have a view of the field looking toward the new video board and the six Super Bowl banners in the south endzone.
"The Kraft family has kept the Gillette Stadium fan experience ahead of the constantly changing landscape with continued improvements, additions and renovations over the past 20 years," said Jen Ferron, Chief Marketing Officer of Kraft Sports + Entertainment in a statement provided by the Patriots website. "This renovation project, coupled with other recent enhancements, will continue to set Gillette Stadium apart from other venues."
The Kraft Family will privately fund the project, revealing the enhancements will keep Gillette Stadium around for the next two decades.
