Peyton Manning no longer top-5 quarterback in 'Madden 16'
According to EA Sports 'Madden 16' game, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is no longer a top-five quarterback
We've been covering the Madden 16 rankings as they're released this week, including some notable surprises like Marshawn Lynch over Adrian Peterson. But here's a big one in terms of quarterbacks: Peyton Manning is no longer a top-five signal caller.
The Madden quarterback rankings -- at least the first five of them -- were released and the Broncos quarterback is nowhere to be found.
Maybe this is no surprise to you, but think about how long it's probably been since Manning wasn't a top-five quarterback in the legendary video game. I'm sure at some point during his injury year he fell out of there, but take that out and you're probably talking about close to 15 years since he wasn't in the top five to start the season.
At any rate, the top five quarterbacks aren't necessarily a huge surprise, outside of Manning.
1. Aaron Rodgers, Packers -- Duh. The MVP. 99 overall. 95 throw power. 88 Throw on Run. 80 Throw Accuracy Deep, 92 Throw Accuracy Medium, 94 Throw Accuracy Short. Very good.
2. Tom Brady, Patriots -- No. 1 in the league with Throw Accuracy Medium (97) and Throw Accuracy Short (96) but not so great at throwing deep (70). 94 Throw Power too. Just make sure the balls are properly inflated.
3. Drew Brees, Saints -- Surprise at No. 3, honestly. Manning had a better season. 87 Throw Power and he's still incredibly accurate in not-real life (93 short, 91 medium, 79 deep).
4. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers -- 85 Strength (!) and 95 Throw on Run. A monster. 94 Throw Power too.
5. Andrew Luck, Colts -- Tied with Big Ben at 95 Throw on Run (best in the league) and 95 Throw Power. Bet he gets better as the year goes along.
