James Ihedigbo: Hangs up the cleats
Ihedigbo plans to retire from football, per his personal instagram account.
A standout on special teams early in his career, Ihedigbo eventually proved to be a capable starter at strong safety. The 34-year-old had 394 tackles, eight interceptions, nine forced fumbles and nine sacks in nine seasons, with most of the production coming in a three-year stretch from 2013 to 2015 as a member of the Ravens and Lions.

James Ihedigbo: Wants to play in 2017
Ihedigbo (leg/suspension) wants to play in 2017 after appearing in just four contests in 2016, Michael Rothstein of ESPN reports.
Ihedigbo's 2016 season ended after he fractured his fibula late in the year while playing for the Bills. Though he claims his leg has "100 percent healed," he will still have to sit out four games due to a suspension. The age-33 safety last saw significant playing time in 2015, when he played in 15 games for Detroit and recorded 63 tackles and an interception. The veteran believes he still has gas in the tank, but he may need to wait until a team faces injuries to the safety position before he gets signed.
