  • Jeremy Langford: Waived from IR

Langford (undisclosed) was waived from the Falcons' injured reserve list Wednesday.

Atlanta previously waived Langford in May with an undisclosed injury before he reverted to IR after clearing waivers. After failed stints with the Ravens, Jets and Dolphins since flopping as the Bears' top back in 2015, Langford's future prospects in the NFL aren't great.

  • Falcons' Jeremy Langford: Gets waived/injured designation

Langford (undisclosed) was placed on the waived/injured list by the Falcons on Tuesday.

Langford joined the Falcons from the team's practice squad in Week 17 of the 2018 campaign with Ito Smith (knee) and Devonta Freeman (groin) both on injured reserve, carrying the ball nine times for 25 yards, though the running back evidently picked up an injury in the process. He will stay with the team, and it gives the Falcons the flexibility to pick up another player, since Langford doesn't count against the 90-man roster.

  • Jeremy Langford: Cut loose Saturday

Langford (undisclosed) was waived/injured by the Falcons on Saturday.

Langford joined the Falcons from the team's practice squad in Week 17 of the 2018 campaign with Ito Smith (knee) and Devonta Freeman (groin) both on injured reserve, carrying the ball nine times for 25 yards although the running back evidently picked up an injury in the process. He'll attempt to catch onto a roster prior to training camp.

  • Falcons' Jeremy Langford: First action of 2018 in finale

Langford ran for 25 yards on nine carries during Sunday's 34-32 win against the Buccaneers.

In the finale against Tampa Bay, Langford saw his first regular-season snap since 2016 when he was a member of the Bears roster. With Ito Smith (knee) having been placed on injured reserve, Langford was called up from the Falcons practice squad on Dec. 18 before earning 16 of 73 running back snaps during Sunday's contest. Only recently having turned 27 years old, Langford has potential to compete with Brian Hill for the No. 3 job in 2019 if he can put forth an impressive showing in training camp.

  • Falcons' Jeremy Langford: Inactive status Week 16

Langford (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 16 tilt against the Panthers.

The veteran running back was promoted from the practice squad Tuesday in the wake of Ito Smith's (knee) placement on injured reserve, but he apparently won't be needed Sunday behind Tevin Coleman and backup Brian Hill.

  • Falcons' Jeremy Langford: Earns promotion

Langford was promoted from the Falcons' practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.

The Falcons were in desperate need of additional depth in the backfield after rookie Ito Smith (knee) recently joined Devonta Freeman (groin) on injured reserve, resulting in a promotion for Langford. The Michigan State product hasn't seen game action since his 2016 campaign with the Bears, but Langford could earn a few touches immediately as he resides behind Tevin Coleman and Brian Hill on the running back depth chart in Atlanta.

  • Jeremy Langford: Could join Falcons shortly

Langford may be promoted to the Falcons' 53-man roster in the near future, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Langford signed with Atlanta's practice squad in late November and an opportunity could present itself in the final weeks of the season. Devonta Freeman (groin) isn't expected to return from injured reserve and Ito Smith (knee) is out for the season, leaving the team with only two healthy running backs in Tevin Coleman and Brian Hill.

  • Jeremy Langford: Signs with Falcons' practice squad

Langford was signed to Atlanta's practice squad Wednesday, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.

Langford has spent time with the Ravens' and Jets' practice squads since being a starter in Chicago. The Michigan State product has yet to see a regular season snap since his final game with the Bears in 2016. Langford rushed for 737 yards and 10 touchdowns on 210 carries in his 28 games for the Bears.

  • Dolphins' Jeremy Langford: Lands contract with Miami

Langford is signing a contract with the Dolphins, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.

Langford has spent time on both of the Ravens' and Jets' practice squads since his fall from grace in Chicago, but he still hasn't seen a regular-season snap since his final game with the Bears in 2016. Now in Miami, Langford reunites with head coach Adam Gase, who was his offensive coordinator in the Windy City during Langford's rookie year in 2015. The Michigan State product will compete with the Dolphins' other depth-caliber tailbacks for the No. 4 gig behind Kenyan Drake, Frank Gore and Kalen Ballage, though Langford could have a leg up given the team's lack of a receiving specialist in the backfield. Langford, who converted from a receiver to running back in college, has averaged 10.2 yards on his 41 career receptions as a pro.

  • Jeremy Langford: Let go by Jets

The Jets waived Langford on Friday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.

A fourth-round pick of the Bears in 2015, Langford worked his way into a regular role by Week 8 of that season and finished with 537 yards and a team-leading six touchdowns on the ground. In the ensuing offseason, Matt Forte was allowed to depart in free agency, opening the door for Langford to take on a larger role. However, 2016 fifth-rounder Jordan Howard proceeded to snatch the No. 1 job within his first month as a pro, which contained Langford to 200 rushing yards and four TDs by season's end. After Langford was a casualty of final cuts last September, he spent some time on the Ravens' 53-man roster and practice squad and the Jets' practice squad without earning a single touch. With his reserve/future contract from the Jets terminated, he'll seek out another opportunity from the fringes of a 90-man roster.

  • Jets' Jeremy Langford: Inks deal with Jets

The Jets signed Langford to a reserve/future contract Wednesday.

Langford tried to revive his career with the Ravens this past summer but didn't survive final roster cuts and was ultimately stashed on the team's practice squad, only for him to suffer an undisclosed injury and land on injured reserve in late September. Now with the Jets, Langford could have a hard time carving out a role in a backfield that already has Bilal Powell, Matt Forte and Elijah McGuire under contract for the 2018 season.

  • Jeremy Langford: Lands with Jets' practice squad

The Jets signed Langford to their practice squad Friday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Cut loose by Chicago following the conclusion of the preseason, Langford joined the Ravens' practice squad and was briefly promoted to the 53-man roster before being let go after suffering an unspecified injury. Now apparently healthy, Langford will head to a new organization, but it's unlikely he'll get a look during the Jets' final four games unless one of Matt Forte (knee), Bilal Powell or Elijah McGuire suffers a season-ending injury.

  • Jeremy Langford: Moves to practice squad IR

The Ravens announced Thursday that Langford, who is a member of the team's practice squad, would be placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed issue, Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.

After Danny Woodhead (hamstring) was moved to IR following the Ravens' Week 1 win over the Bengals, the team had an opening on the 53-man roster for another running back, but Langford was bypassed for a promotion from the practice squad in favor of Alex Collins. It appears no further opportunities to appear at the NFL level in 2017 will be in store for Langford, at least until he's released on an injury settlement. The nature and extent of Langford's injury -- which he sustained in a special teams drill at Wednesday's practice, per Zrebiec -- aren't certain, but the Ravens will replace him on the practice squad with another running back in John Crockett.

  • Jeremy Langford: Signs with Ravens' practice squad

Langford signed with the Ravens' practice squad Tuesday.

This will be the second time this season that Langford will be on the team's practice squad, as he was waived this past weekend after being promoted to the team's active roster. Langford will essentially serve as an emergency back if the Ravens have to deal with injuries in the backfield this season.

  • Jeremy Langford: Let go by Baltimore

Langford was waived by Baltimore on Saturday.

The three-year vet found himself on the outside looking in once the team opted to bring in Alex Collins. There's a chance he can land elsewhere given his pedigree, but things are looking bleak from a fantasy perspective at the moment.
