Pittsburgh is signing Roberts to a two-year contract Thursday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Roberts racked up career numbers with the Dolphins last season, surpassing the century mark in terms of tackles while notching 4.5 sacks in 17 regular-season games. Heading into his age-29 season, Roberts seems like an ideal fit to shore up a key role in Pittsburgh's linebacker corps.... See More ... See Less

Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Career numbers in contract year
Roberts racked up 102 tackles (68 solo) and 4.5 sacks across 17 regular-season games with the Dolphins in 2022. Roberts eclipsed 100 tackles for the first time in his career while also notching a new high in terms of sacks while on a one-year deal with Miami in 2022, so it's conceivable that new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio could want him back for 2023. The 28-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Dolphins and would bring some veteran consistency to a relatively young linebacker corps if he's re-signed.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Notches another sack Week 17
Roberts posted 10 tackles (seven solo), including one sack, in Sunday's 23-21 defeat versus New England. Roberts matched his season high in tackles while also logging his second sack in as many games. This sack also ended the Patriots first drive of the second quarter, as the 28-year-old linebacker brought down quarterback Mac Jones for a 12-yard loss on third down. Roberts also logged one of his seven solo tackles on special teams, and he has played 113 of his 729 total snaps in this phase over 16 games. He has now accumulated career highs in both tackles (103) and sacks (4.5) this season.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Records sack Sunday
Roberts registered seven tackles (four solo) and one sack in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Packers. Roberts once again played a prominent role in Miami's defensive game plan this past weekend, as he recorded his first sack since Week 12 to go along with seven stops. The veteran now has a team-leading and career-high 94 tackles throughout the 2022-23 campaign, while he's also already corralled the most sacks (3.5) in any one season of his seven-year NFL tenure.... Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Returns to start second half
Roberts (calf) has returned to Sunday's game against the 49ers, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Roberts left the game in the first half due to a calf injury but was back on the field to start the second half. He recorded one tackle before exiting.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Exits early
Roberts has left Sunday's game against the 49ers with a calf injury. Roberts' exit will leave a hole at inside linebacker for the Dolphins. While he is out of the game, Sam Eguavoen and Duke Riley are candidates to see extra work.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Paces team in tackles Sunday
Roberts recorded seven tackles (six solo) during Sunday's 39-17 win over the Browns. Roberts finished as the Dolphins' leading tackle despite playing just a season-low 40 percent of the team's defensive snaps. The 28-year-old inside linebacker has now logged 372 of his 433 total snaps on defense this season, so it's likely his limited playing time Sunday was largely due to the blowout nature of this win. Roberts should continue to serve as one of Miami's top tacklers against the Texans following the team's Week 11 bye.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Game-high nine stops in win
Roberts recorded nine tackles (five solo) during Sunday's 35-32 win over the Bears. Roberts led both squads with nine stops in Sunday's matchup versus Chicago, bringing his tackle total up to 55 through Miami's first nine weeks of the 2022 campaign. The 28-year-old also played a season-high 53 snaps this past weekend, and he'll look to compile yet another solid effort when the team hosts Cleveland on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Joins Miami via one-year deal
Roberts agreed to a one-year, $3.25 million contract with the Dolphins on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Over the last two seasons in Miami, Roberts has totaled 144 tackles (74 solo), four pass deflections, two forced fumbles and one interception across 30 appearances. The linebacker figures to garner a similar role during the 2022 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Observing minicamp
Roberts (knee) wasn't an active participant during mandatory minicamp, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Roberts is still on the mend after undergoing offseason surgery, and he remains without a concrete timetable for a return. As Jackson points out, Roberts is expected to make the roster, but the Dolphins could turn elsewhere if he isn't at full strength by August.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Placed on IR
The Dolphins placed Roberts (knee) on injured reserve Thursday. Roberts isn't expected to return this season, even in the event that the Dolphins secure a playoff berth and go on a run. Kamu Grugier-Hill will be a candidate to see a sharp uptick in defensive snaps with Roberts out.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: All clear Sunday
Roberts (chest) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Roberts missed last week's game against the Chiefs with the chest issue, but after practicing in a limited capacity this week, he gained the medical clearance needed to play. The Dolphins' linebacking corps will be at full strength for the contest, as Roberts, Jerome Baker (back) and Kyle Van Noy (hip) are all active.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Inactive for Week 14
Roberts won't play in Sunday's game against the Chiefs due to a chest injury. Roberts suffered the chest injury in the first quarter of last week's win over the Bengals, and the injury will force him to miss more time. The Miami linebacking corps is a bit thin Sunday, as Kyle Van Noy (hip) joined Roberts on the inactives list. In Roberts' stead, look for an increased role given to Calvin Munson and Kamu Grugier-Hill at inside linebacker for Sunday's game.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' Elandon Roberts: Starts week with full practice
Roberts (elbow) practiced fully Wednesday, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports. Roberts picked up an elbow injury in last week's win over the Rams, but it's evidently not bothering him any longer. The starting linebacker should be out there Sunday against the Cardinals.... Patriots' Elandon Roberts: Scores in loss
Roberts had a 38-yard touchdown reception and a tackle during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Dolphins. Roberts tied up the score late in the third quarter, slipping out from his fullback spot and into the flat for a 38-yard catch-and-run. It was both his first career reception and touchdown. His value as a FB/LB is low heading into the Wild Card round against Tennessee, but don't be surprised if a Patriots team struggling to find rhythm on offense resorts to some further trickery.... Patriots' Elandon Roberts: Garners sack in win
Roberts finished Sunday's 17-10 win over the Eagles with a sack. Roberts' first sack of 2019 came in a low-scoring road affair in Philadelphia. The 25-year-old linebacker has recorded 21 tackles through 10 games, placing his value in IDP formats on the low end of the spectrum.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Elandon Roberts: Posts sack in loss
Roberts recorded six tackles (four solo), including a sack, in Sunday's loss to Tennessee. Roberts' sack was his first of the season. He hasn't been a prolific pass rusher through his first few seasons, but he has shown he can provide some pass rush when called upon. The Patriots have a bye in Week 11 before taking on the Jets in Week 12.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Elandon Roberts: Returns to action following groin injury
Roberts (groin) returned to Monday's game after a brief exit, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. A quick trip down medical lane served Roberts well and it now seems as though he's good to go following the return to action. Roberts should re-assume his role at starting inside linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Elandon Roberts: Questionable to return
Roberts is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Bills due to a groin injury. Look for more updates to emerge as information becomes available. Should he be ruled out for the remainder of the contest, look for Nicholas Grigsby to see increased reps on defense.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Elandon Roberts: Inactive for Sunday's game
Roberts is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Roberts and backup linebacker Harvey Langi both being inactive opens the door for Marquis Flowers and David Harris to see additional snaps. The Patriots run defense will be challenged by a high-powered Atlanta running game that features the likes of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman.... See More ... See Less
