Dominique Alexander: Waived by Browns
Alexander (knee) was waived by the Browns on Thursday.
Alexander, who primarily placed a special teams role in his two seasons in Cleveland, was placed on injured reserve last October with a knee injury. It looks like he's still dealing with some lingering problems given the failed physical, and he will likely have to be fully cleared before finding a new team to sign with.

Alexander (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Alexander left Sunday's loss to the Bengals with the knee injury and was unable to return, and it looks like he'll be done for the remainder of the regular season. The Browns promoted Deon King from their practice squad Tuesday for added depth to their linebacking unit.

Browns' Dominique Alexander: Won't return with knee ailment
Alexander left Sunday's game against the Bengals with a knee injury and won't return, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
The reserve linebacker mainly fulfills special teams duties. More updates will be available later this week on the severity of this injury and whether he'll be able to play against the Jets in a Week 5 matchup.
