Alexander (knee) was waived by the Browns on Thursday.
Alexander, who primarily placed a special teams role in his two seasons in Cleveland, was placed on injured reserve last October with a knee injury. It looks like he's still dealing with some lingering problems given the failed physical, and he will likely have to be fully cleared before finding a new team to sign with.

Alexander left Sunday's loss to the Bengals with the knee injury and was unable to return, and it looks like he'll be done for the remainder of the regular season. The Browns promoted Deon King from their practice squad Tuesday for added depth to their linebacking unit.

Browns' Dominique Alexander: Active for Saturday
Alexander (abdomen/groin) is active for Saturday's game against the Chargers.
The Browns will be close to full strength in their linebacking corps Saturday with Alexander active. However, Alexander has yet to carve out a role with the defense behind starter Demario Davis, so his primary impact is made on special teams.
