Judon registered four tackles (two solo) including two sacks in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Jets. Judon's second sack of the game came in the final three minutes of the fourth quarter when he sacked Zach Wilson in the end zone for a safety to extend the Patriots' lead to five. Judon logged four tackles (four solo) and a sack during the Patriots' 24-17 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. Judon registered the team's only sack of Tua Tagovailoa on Sunday night and has now recorded a sack in each of his first two games. Patriots' Matthew Judon: Adjusts contract
Judon and the Patriots agreed to a contract adjustment Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Judon is now guaranteed $14 million in 2023 -- up from $2 million -- and can make up to $18 million this season. Judon led the Patriots' defense with a career-high 15.5 sacks to go along with 60 tackles, three pass deflections, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery while playing in all 17 games. He's registered 28 sacks over the last two seasons with New England and will continue to be a lynchpin for a Patriots defense that finished eighth in yards allowed per game (322.0) last season.... Patriots' Matthew Judon: Leads team in sacks
Judon finished the 2022 season with 60 tackles (36 solo), 15.5 sacks and a fumble recovery while playing in 17 games. Judon has now registered double-digit sacks in both of his seasons with the Patriots, something he failed to do in all five of his seasons with Baltimore. The four-time Pro Bowler set a new career high in sacks, which also led the team. Over the past two seasons, Judon is third in the NFL in sacks, and with two years left on his contract, he'll look to keep up that dominance heading into next season.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Matthew Judon: Harasses QB in win
Judon recorded five tackles (three solo) and 1.5 sacks in Sunday's 10-3 win over the Jets. Judon combined with Mack Wilson for a sack at the beginning of the third quarter and secured a solo QB takedown to start the fourth -- both on third-down plays. The star pass rusher has seven sacks over his last four appearances and 13 on the year, giving him a new career high.... See More ... See Less -

Judon collected six tackles (four solo), including three sacks, in Sunday's 26-3 victory versus the Colts. Judon contributed one-third of the Patriots' nine sacks against Indianapolis, increasing his season total to 11.5. The 30-year-old now leads the league in this category through the first nine weeks of the 2022 campaign, and he'll look to add to this lead during New England's next contest against the Jets in Week 11.... Judon recorded four tackles (three solo), 2.5 sacks and a pass defensed in Monday's 33-14 loss to the Bears. Judon continues to rack up sacks, sitting at 8.5 now on the season through seven games. His performance also vaulted him to league leader in the category, with him surpassing Nick Bosa, with whom he was tied coming into Week 7. He'll look to continue adding to that total Sunday against the Jets.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Matthew Judon: Another sack in Week 2
Judon tallied four tackles (one solo), one sack and one pass defense during Sunday's 17-14 win over the Steelers. Judon took down Mitch Trubisky at the end of the first half, giving the linebacker two sacks across the first two games of 2022. The 2016 fifth-round pick notched a career-high 12.5 sacks last year -- his first with New England.... See More ... See Less -

Patriots' Matthew Judon: Leads team in sacks
Judon finished the 2021 regular season with 60 tackles and a fumble recovery to go with a team-high 12.5 sacks in 17 games. Judon, who signed a four-year, $54.5 million contract with the Patriots last March, made his mark as a pass rusher in his first campaign with the team and will once again be counted on in that department in 2022. The 12.5 sacks were tied for the seventh-highest mark in the NFL in 2021.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Matthew Judon: Expected back for Sunday
Judon (illness) is expected to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports. Judon landed on the COVID list earlier this week, but he's apparently been able to clear the necessary protocols. The 29-year-old has been a significant piece of New England's defensive front with 57 tackles (35 solo), 12.5 sacks and one fumble recovery through 15 games.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Matthew Judon: Lands on COVID list
Judon has been placed on the Patriots' reserve/COVID-19 list, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Judon will need to clear the NFL's health and safety protocols before being eligible to return. If he is unable to do so before Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars, Brandon King would be the likely candidate to replace him at outside linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Matthew Judon: Yet another sack
Judon racked up three tackles (one solo) and one sack during Week 11's win over the Falcons. Judon has brought his season sack total to a career-high 10.5 mark through 11 appearances, and he's now recorded at least a half-sack in four consecutive games. Next, Judon will look to contain a Titans team lacking key offensive players Julio Jones (hamstring), Derrick Henry (foot) and possibly A.J. Brown (chest).... See More ... See Less -

Patriots' Matthew Judon: No practice Wednesday
Judon (knee) did not practice Wednesday. Judon will have two more chances to upgrade his practice status ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints. If he can't go, Ronnie Perkins and Josh Uche will be candidates for increased snaps.... See More ... See Less -
Patriots' Matthew Judon: Heads to New England
Judon and the Patriots have reached agreement on a four-year, $56 million contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Judon has never reached double-digit sacks, but he does have six or more in four straight seasons, with no fewer than 19 QB hits each of those years. And while he applied more pressure than the modest sack totals indicate, critics will note that Baltimore's affinity for Cover-0 blitzes created unblocked pass-rush situations for Judon. Regardless, his competence as both a pass rusher and run defender helped stabilize an otherwise shaky position in Baltimore the past few years. In New England, Judon could be replacing John Simon, a fellow free agent who had only two sacks in 16 starts for the Pats last year.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Matt Judon: Set for Saturday's game
Judon (illness) does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's divisional-round matchup in Buffalo, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Judon missed Baltimore's first two practices of the week, but he was a full participant in Thursday's session. The fifth-year linebacker looks set to handle his usual starting role as the Ravens work to contain Josh Allen and the Bills.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Matt Judon: On track to play Sunday
Judon (calf) is expected to play in Sunday's game versus the Patriots, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports. Judon's still questionable, but the Ravens will officially make him active 90 minutes before the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. The 28-year-old is slated to start at outside linebacker, and he'll look to build off the season-high seven tackles he posted last week against the Colts.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Matt Judon: Carries questionable tag
Judon (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Patriots. After starting the practice week on the sidelines, Judon made progress every day and was a full participant Friday. Barring a setback, he should be good to go for Sunday night's game, and he's expected to start at outside linebacker if that's the case. Judon recorded a season-high seven tackles last week against the Colts, adding his second pass breakup of the year.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Matt Judon: Given boot from AFC North clash
Judon has been ejected from Sunday's matchup against the Steelers for contacting an official, Dianna Russini of ESPN reports. Judon's contact was not malicious by any means, as he was seemingly trying to free his arm from an opposing player's grasp when he bumped the referee. The officiating crew deemed the act significant enough to merit ejection, however, removing a formidable pass rusher from Baltimore's front seven. Judon has recorded eight QB hits and two sacks over his past three appearances, but the Ravens will have to proceed without him for the remainder of Sunday's contest.... See More ... See Less
