  • Panthers' Jordan Rigsbee: Cut by Panthers

    Rigsbee (knee) was released by the Panthers on Tuesday, Max Henson of Panthers.com reports.

    The Panthers trimmed their roster down to 86 on Tuesday by releasing five players including Rigsbee. He finished the season on injured reserved due to a knee injury suffered in November, and the Panthers' addition of Taylor Moton in the draft was a sign that the franchise was looking to go in another direction at tackle. Still, Rigsbee (6-4, 315) has the size and athleticism to land on his feet with another franchise.

  • Panthers' Jordan Rigsbee: Finishes 2016 on IR

    Rigsbee finished the 2016 season on injured reserve due to a knee injury, Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.

    Rigsbee didn't play at all in what was his rookie year. He began the season buried on the depth chart and his knee injury cut his season short in November. He'll look to bounce back in 2017 and see an increased role with the team.
