  • Panthers' Kiondre Thomas: Inks deal with Panthers

    Carolina signed Thomas to a contract on Friday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Thomas has played in five games since entering the NFL in 2021, with four of those coming in his rookie season with the Chargers and one coming last year as a member of the Packers. The Kansas State product has yet to play a defensive snap, as he's been limited so far to work on special teams. Thomas also played in the UFL with the Houston Roughnecks this spring, accumulating 14 tackles (11 solo) and an interception that he returned for 52 yards over six games.

  • Kiondre Thomas: Parts ways with Browns

    The Browns waived Thomas (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports. Thomas suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday's preseason game against the Jaguars and was initially placed on the Browns' injured reserve after he cleared waivers. Although the severity of the cornerback's injury still isn't clear, he'll be eligible to play in 2021 if he lands a contract with another team.

  • Browns' Kiondre Thomas: Clears waivers, reverts to IR

    Thomas (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve by the Browns on Tuesday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports. Thomas was initially waived with an injury designation, but after clearing waivers, he has reverted to Cleveland's injured reserve. The 23-year-old started the Browns' first preseason game and played 54 percent of the team's total defensive snaps before leaving the game early.
