The 25-year-old linebacker had been playing a limited role on Tennessee's defense this season after recording 5.5 sacks last year, and it now seems as if he's fallen even further down the team's depth chart. Weaver has posted only six total tackles this year while playing on 18 percent of the Titans' defensive snaps.

Weaver underwent surgery to repair a fractured fibula Thursday and will miss the rest of the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Weaver suffered the injury during the Week 3 win over the Colts, which will end up being his final game of 2021. The rookie fourth-round pick totaled two tackles in two games before going down with the injury.

Weaver suffered the injury during Sunday's Week 3 win over the Colts. He had seen the majority of his playing time on special teams and logged only two total tackles across two games.
