Molden (groin) is a full participant at OTAs this week, Joe Rexrode of The Athletic reports. Molden appeared in just two games last season after battling a groin issue all year. He didn't need offseason surgery and is 100 percent for spring practices. With Kevin Byard absent from OTAs, Molden is getting some run at safety and has been approached by the coaching staff about playing a versatile role in the secondary this upcoming season.... Molden will make his second stint on injured reserve this season due to a groin injury that he's been dealing with since the summer. Molden was forced out of Sunday's win over the Broncos after aggravating a lingering groin injury, leaving him sidelined coming into Thursday Night Football. The 23-year-old recorded three tackles during his lone appearance of the season Week 10, and his absence will leave Tre Avery, Greg Mabin and Terrance Mitchell to fill out the Titans' secondary against Green Bay. Terry McCormick@terrymc137D agoMike Vrabel said that Elijah Molden is increasing his versatility by playing some at safety in practice and being protector on the punt team. Molden has been mostly a nickelback. Molden said he is finally healthy after pushing his body too hard last year before it was ready.
John Glennon@glennonsports7D agoVrabel says Molden has played in “the back part of the field” at times, in addition to playing CB. Vrabel says it’s to give him another role outside of nickel, so could play safety also.
