Giants' Eric Smith: Signs with Giants
Smith signed a contract with the Giants on Monday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Smith's signing coincides with the release of Matt Gono, who is dealing with a potentially career-ending neck injury. Smith played for the Giants in 2019 and has since spent time in the Cowboys and Cardinals organizations. He'll provided much-needed depth for a New York offensive line that has already been decimated by injuries.

Cowboys' Eric Smith: Gets call Sunday
The Cowboys elevated Smith to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Sunday, Rob Phillips of the team's official site reports.
Sunday marked the second straight week Smith has been called up from the practice squad, as starting left tackle Tyron Smith (neck) is officially listed as questionable to play Sunday. Smith will add some depth on the offensive line should he suit up in Week 3 against Seattle.
