  • Tyree Gillespie: Injury settlement reached

The Chiefs waived Gillespie (undisclosed) off injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Gillespie reverted to Kansas City's IR after being waived Aug. 28, but he's reached an injury settlement with the Chiefs that allows him to sign elsewhere once he proves he's past his undisclosed injury. The Missouri product's last regular-season game came in 2022 with the Jaguars, when he appeared in three games and recorded no stats on 28 special-teams snaps.

  • Tyree Gillespie: Gets let go

Gillespie (undisclosed) was waived by the Chiefs on Tuesday with an injury designation. Gillespie was working to make the team after last playing with Jacksonville in 2022. The Missouri product was hampered by a knee injury in 2023, but it's not clear if it's related to his current injury.

  • Tyree Gillespie: Works out with Bills

Buffalo worked out Gillespie (knee) Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Gillespie was cut by Houston prior to Week 1, but it looks like he could now be on the verge of joining up with a new team. He played exclusively on special teams with Jacksonville in 2022.

  • Texans' Tyree Gillespie: Lands on injured reserve

Gillespie (knee) reverted to injured reserve Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Gillespie will need to seek out an injury settlement from the Texans to have a chance at playing this season, depending on the severity of his injury. Otherwise, the 24-year-old will now spend the entirety of the 2023 campaign on the shelf.

  • Tyree Gillespie: Let go Monday

The Jaguars waived Gillespie on Monday. Gillespie recorded eight tackles while almost exclusively on special teams over 11 games as a rookie with Las Vegas. The 2021 fourth-round pick was then traded to Tennessee in mid-August, but he was let go as part of the team's final roster cuts later that month. Gillespie went on to join Jacksonville and appear in three games without recording a statistic this season, and he'll likely look to catch on with a practice squad elsewhere before the end of the 2022 campaign.

  • Jaguars' Tyree Gillespie: Doesn't travel with team

Gillespie (not injury related) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. Gillespie is one of three players who didn't travel with the team despite being healthy. The nature of Gillespie's situation remains unclear, but he hasn't seen the field since Week 2, so his absence shouldn't have an impact on Jacksonville's defense.

  • Tyree Gillespie: Waived by Tennessee

The Titans waived Gillespie on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. The Raiders traded Gillespie to the Titans in mid-August, but the safety now finds himself among the first wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The 2021 fourth-round pick dealt with a hamstring injury during his rookie campaign with Las Vegas and recorded just eight tackles across 11 appearances.

  • Raiders' Tyree Gillespie: Lands on IR

Gillepsie (hamstring) was placed on the Raiders' reserve/injured list Wednesday. With Gillepsie now on IR, the Raiders elevated Patrick Onwuasor to their active roster, while they signed P.J. Johnson to their practice squad. The safety suffered the injury against the Chiefs and was replaced by Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Expect Clinton-Dix to serve as the main source of depth behind Johnathan Abram until Gillepsie returns from injured reserve.
