Brooks was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Brooks was the No. 5 running back on Philly's roster behind established rushers D'Andre Swift, Rashaad Penny, Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott, so this was always his likely destination. He spent almost the entire 2022 season on the Eagles' practice squad, which is again his likely landing spot going forward.

The Eagles signed Brooks to a reserve/future contract Thursday.
Brooks is now slated to stick around Philadelphia into both the offseason and training camp after he reached a new deal with the Eagles on Thursday. The undrafted rookie running back has yet to suit up for his first NFL game.

After joining the Eagles as an undrafted free agent ahead of Week 1, the rookie will now have to seek another opportunity elsewhere. The back was very productive in three seasons at Oklahoma, so he should draw at least some interest around the league.
