Browns' Andre Szmyt: Overcomes shaky debut
Szmyt went 24-for-27 on field-goal attempts and 25-for-26 on extra-point tries across 17 games with the Browns in 2025.
Szmyt did not kick in a regular-season game in two years after joining the league in May of 2023. However, he managed beat out Dustin Hopkins for the Browns' starting kicking job for 2025 after a strong preseason. Szmyt had a shaky NFL debut against the Bengals in Week 1, when he missed a field goal and an extra-point try in a 17-16 loss. He settled down after his debut, and after the Browns' Week 9 bye, he made all 14 of his field-goal attempts (including three makes from 50-plus yards) and all 13 of his point-after tries across nine games. Szmyt enters the offseason as an exclusive rights free agent, meaning he'll likely kick for the Browns in 2026.

Browns' Andre Szmyt: Converts two FGAs in victory
Szmyt went 2-for-2 on field-goal tries and made his only PAT in Sunday's 13-6 win over the Steelers.
Szmyt was able to make multiple field goals for the second straight week, converting a 50-yarder in the first quarter before later adding a 33-yard make in the fourth. The kicker has now gone 22-for-25 on field-goal attempts, including 6-for-7 from 50-plus yards, while making 23 of 24 extra-point tries over 16 contests in his first NFL campaign.

Browns' Andre Szmyt: Makes all kicks in loss
Szmyt was successful on two field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Bills in Week 16.
The Browns' offense played about as well as it could, and it led to Szmyt recording eight points, his third most this season and best since Week 10. Unfortunately for Szmyt and Cleveland's offense, running back Quinshon Judkins suffered season-ending leg and ankle injuries, which will impact the kicker's opportunities to score going forward. He's been successful on 20 of 23 field-goal attempts and 22 of 23 extra-point kicks.

Szmyt made his only field-goal attempt in Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Bears.
Szmyt was held to one or zero field-goal attempts for the fourth week in a row, making the most of his only kick in Week 15, converting a 50-yarder in the third quarter. The kicker has now gone 18-for-21 on field-goal tries, including 5-for-6 from 50-plus yards, while making 20 of 21 PATs over 14 games during his rookie campaign so far.

Szmyt converted his lone field-goal attempt and both extra-point tries in Sunday's 31-29 loss to Tennessee in Week 14.
Szmyt, who rebounded from a zero-point effort in Week 13, could have had a couple more points, but Cleveland opted to go for two points after each of its two fourth-quarter touchdowns. His make came from 38 yards out. The rookie kicker has been successful on 85 percent (17-of-20) of his tries, but Cleveland's poor offense rarely puts him in the position to be of great value for a fantasy team. Szmyt's 20 field-goal attempts ranks 29th in the NFL.

Browns' Andre Szmyt: Kickless in defeat
Szmyt did not attempt a field goal or a PAT in Sunday's 26-8 loss to the 49ers.
Szmyt went without a field-goal try for the first time this year, and he didn't garner an extra-point attempt for the first time since Week 6. The rookie will look to get back on track in Week 14 against the Titans, in what may be the Browns' most winnable remaining contest this season.

Szmyt made his mark in the fourth quarter, nailing a 53-yard field goal to give Cleveland a 17-3 lead. Szmyt converted all three field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point try in the Browns' 23-16 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
Szmyt's makes came from 30, 24 and 46 yards out, as he accounted for 10 of the Browns' 16 points against Baltimore. In his first season as an NFL kicker, Szmyt has made 15 of 18 field-goal attempts and 15 of 16 extra points through 10 games. Szmyt made both of his field-goal attempts and each of his two extra-point tries during the Browns' 27-20 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
Szmyt tied the game at 17-17 after connecting on a 45-yard field goal as time expired in the first half, and he followed that up with a 29-yard chip shot late in the fourth quarter to make it a one-score game. It was the third time this season that Szmyt made two or more field goals in a game, and he is now 12-for-15 on field-goal attempts and 14-for-15 on extra-point tries through nine regular-season games.

Szmyt missed his lone field-goal attempt and made his only extra-point try during the Browns' 32-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Szmyt was unable to connect on a 47-yard field goal early in the second quarter, which would have extended the Browns' lead to 10-3. It was his third missed field goal of the season, and he is now 10-for-13 on field-goal attempts and 12-for-13 on point-after tries through the first eight games of the regular season.
