  • Packers' Trey Smack: Another rough showing in Week 7

Smack went 1-for-3 on field-goal tries and converted both of his PATs during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Lions. Smack continued his up-and-down rookie campaign in Week 7, and he started Sunday's contest by pushing a 26-yard field-goal attempt wide right on the Packers' first possession of the game. The kicker was able to convert a 43-yard try in the fourth quarter, but he then had 35-yard try partially blocked by D.J. Wonnum with 3:25 left in regulation. Smack has now gone 6-for-11 on field-goal attempts over the last five games, and it's unclear how long the Packers would stick with him moving forward if he can't get back on track.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Bounces back vs Dallas

Smack made all three of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tires during Green Bay's win over the Cowboys on Sunday. Smack had a solid bounce-back performance after missing two field goals and an extra point during the Week 5 win over the Bears. The 23-year-old has now made 10 of his 13 field-goal attempts and 11 of his 13 extra-point tries across the first six games of his rookie campaign.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Poor second half in Week 5 win

Smack went 1-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-3 on extra-point tries during the Packers' 31-7 win over the Bears on Sunday. Smack missed field goals from 43 and 47 yards in the fourth quarter, which came after his extra-point try early in the third missed wide left. It was by far the worst performance of the rookie's young NFL career, but luckily for him, the Packers dominated enough offensively and defensively that his kicking miscues were a wash. Smack will have a prime opportunity to bounce back in Week 6 on Oct. 18 against the Cowboys, who give up the seventh-most points in the NFL this season (27.2).

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Converts pivotal FGA in win

Smack made his only field-goal attempt and both of his PATs during Sunday's 17-14 win over Tampa Bay. Smack only had one opportunity to kick a field goal in Week 4, but he made the most of it. The rookie nailed a 58-yard attempt as time expired in the first half, delivering the Packers a 10-7 lead at the break. Smack's field goal would prove to be the difference in a low-scoring battle. On the year, the kicker has gone 6-for-7 on field-goal tries, including 3-for-3 from 50-plus yards, over four contests so far.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Has kick blocked

Smack went 0-for-1 on field-goal tries and 2-for-2 on extra-point attempts in Thursday's 35-14 loss to the Falcons. The kicker's 47-yard attempt in the second quarter was blocked. It was Smack's first miss on a field-goal try this season, and it probably wasn't his fault. The rookie has, however, missed an extra point as well.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Start

Smack is off to a good start so far in his NFL career with 5-of-5 field goals and 3-of-4 PATs. He made a game-winning kick in overtime in Week 2 at the Jets, and now he's set to play his first game in Green Bay in Week 3 against Atlanta. The Falcons have allowed at least two field goals and two PATs in each game this season against Chris Boswell and Ryan Fitzgerald, and I like Smack as a top-10 Fantasy kicker in this matchup.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Chips in game-winning FG

Smack made both of his field-goal attempts and went 2-for-2 on extra-point tries during the Packers' 20-17 overtime win over the Jets on Sunday. Smack's 34-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter tied things up at 17-17 before the rookie sealed the game for the Packers with a 26-yard chip shot in overtime. The rookie sixth-rounder is off to a strong start to his NFL career, having gone 5-for-5 on field-goal tries and 3-for-4 on extra-point attempts across the first two games of the regular season.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Packers cut other kicker

Smack is the only kicker left in camp with the Packers, as the team waived Lenny Krieg on Friday. The Packers evidently feel comfortable handing kicking duties over to Smack. The rookie sixth-round pick impressed in college at Florida but will need to prove he's capable of handling the pressure of kicking in the NFL, as well as the cold and windy conditions that arise at Lambeau Field.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Favorite for No. 1 spot

Smack is not set to compete with new kicker Lenny Krieg after winning the battle against freshly cut competitor Lucas Havrisik. Krieg was likely signed to keep Smack sharp and to have an emergency option if the sixth-round rookie suffers an injury. Packers kicking options in 2025 produced 123 points over 17 regular-season games, with six total 50-plus yard attempts logged during the season. As the favorite for the starting job, Smack is set to inherit all the value associated with the Packers' offensive opportunities in 2026.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Fellow kicker being let go

With the Packers moving on from Brandon McManus, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Smack and Lucas Havrisik are the team's current kicking options. Though Havrisik appeared in three regular-season games with the Packers in 2025, Smack is presumably the favorite to emerge as the team's top kicker after the team invested a sixth-round draft pick in the University of Florida product. While working behind Green Bay's offense, Smack should have have a chance to emerge as a fantasy streaming option as a rookie. McManus and Lucas Havrisik combined to record 123 points in 17 regular-season contests with the Packers last year.

  • Packers' Trey Smack: Lands in Green Bay

The Packers selected Smack in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 216th overall. Smack joins Green Bay via the final pick of the sixth round as the first kicker off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft. As a freshman with Florida in 2022, he operated in a specialist role before taking over as the Gators' starting kicker from 2023-25, a three-year span in which he compiled an 82.8 percent field-goal conversion rate. Smack boasts a big leg, having converted 10 of 13 field-goal attempts from 50-plus yards, and he'll have an opportunity to compete with Brandon McManus and Lucas Havrisik for the Packers' starting kicker gig this offseason.
